Glamour Model Kelly Brook Announces Shock Pregnancy

The celebrity world was left somewhat shocked and dumbfounded last night as Glamour model and TV presenter Kelly Brook announced she is expecting her first child.

TV beauty Kelly confirmed reports that she was expecting, via her official Twitter account last night stating ‘Thom and I are happy to announce we are expecting a baby girl. We are delighted XXXX’ The news will come as a shock to some as Kelly and retired rugby ace boyfriend Thom Evans have only been dating since November last year and at this point in time, they had yet to even confirm they were an item.

Kelly has been a regular in LA of late and only last week was pictured in newspapers sporting an impressively flat stomach as she posed for images for Reebok’s new line of trainers. The model has successfully juggled a TV presenting and modelling career since she was sprung into the spotlight courtesy of Channel 4’s Big Breakfast, and has even dabbled in designing, creating a range of swimwear for clothing store New Look. She is also hoping to carve out an acting career following her appearance in last years shock success Piranha: 3D.

Controversially, the father of Kelly’s unborn baby is former Scotland international star, Thom, 25 who is the former teammate of Kelly’s ex, Danny Cipriani. Cipriani and Brook had a somewhat on/off relationship and were believed at some point, to be headed for marriage. Of the news Cipriani said: ‘Kelly told me in January that she was expecting. I’m really happy for her- she will be a great mum.’ Since their split, Cipriani has enjoyed a string of romances with tabloid favourites but has yet to settle into a new serious relationship. Following their split, Brook has enjoyed short romances with Glee actor Matthew Morrison and was recently spotted with comedian Jack Whitehall.

Back in 2009 Brook was announced as one of the judge’s on ITV’s popular talent show, Britain’s Got Talent. However, she was removed from the show just as quickly, amid speculation that she did not get on with the other judges and lacked the right presenting skills experience required for the role. Head judge Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden felt that she did not fit in while presenters Ant and Dec were said to be angry that they were not notified of the new addition until the last minute. Brook is said to be eager to re-start her presenting career after recently appearing on our screens in Channel 4’s Naked Ambition.
